3 Cups Flour
¾ Cup Sugar
2 Teaspoon Active Dry Yeast (About 7g package in size)
2 Teaspoon Salt
½ Teaspoon Nutmeg
2 ½ hot water
In a large bowl to fit all the ingredient and to allow the dough to rise. combine the flour, the yeast, the salt, the sugar, the nutmeg and mix together. Next heat up the water, the water don’t need to be boiling hot. It should be about 120 -130 degree hot. Now add the hot water to the mixture them mix well and set aside for 0ne hour. To allow the dough to rise and rest.
After one hour, get some oil ready enough for deep frying dough. Start to heat oil on high heat; as you notice the heat is starting to get really hot reduce to medium heat. Now start frying dough. Stat by griping dough with your fingers/hands just about enough to fit in a regular eating spoon. You can also use a spoon to do this. As you are placing the dough in the oil to be fry, you will notice the dough attach to your hands. To release dough from your hands, place a little water on your hand or the spoon before placing it in the dough.
Fry dough in three batches. Make sure you fry dough evenly on both sides as you are frying the Kala; you will notice that the Kala fry evenly by it self. It even flip evenly. Make sure you are using paper towel in a bowl to collect extra oil from the fry Kala. Serve Kala warn with some hot pepper sauce. Enjoy —Aye Tonia! For some reason Liberian meals has a way of balancing it self out. Imagine eating a fry piece of dough with some hot pepper. What a way to speed up your metabolism in your body.
Green Hot pepper Sauce
in this recipes I used all green herbaneros peppers mostly. As you can see in the pictures.
